Bridal Hair & Makeup: Garden Wedding at Twin Oaks

Working with Steffany and her bridal party for her wedding earlier this year was so much fun. I had the pleasure of doing both the bride & bridesmaids’ hair and makeup.

Steffany wanted a classic bridal look, but wanted to be sure that she also looked like herself.

Finding the perfect balance between a natural look and classic bridal glam can be challenging, especially when your everyday makeup routine is minimalistic. So we focused on creating a look for Steffany that made her feel her absolute best, but also made sure she was comfortable in her makeup.

On the eyes, we used taupes and mauves to accentuate Steffany’s eye color. We balanced this more sultry eye look with rosy cheeks & a peachy-nude lip.

Steffany went with an updo, which suited the statement neckline of her dress so well. We pulled out a few pieces in the front to frame her face, and added a sparkly hairpin to one side. This extra detail was the perfect finishing touch (and added bonus: photographed beautifully).

I am so excited to share pictures of Steffany on her wedding day, as captured beautifully by Dan & the team at Clearlight Studios. She was a gorgeous bride – inside and out!
